Das 5-minütige Werk beschreibt eine kurzweilige Winterreise durch eine beeindruckende und bezaubernde Landschaft.
Das Marimbaphon und das Glockenspiel sind in diesem 2017 komponiertem Stück unersetzlich. Beim Glockenspiel ist darauf zu achten, das die Schlägel nicht zu hart gewählt werden. Die Piccolo ist solistisch zu besetzen und übernimmt eine führende Rolle. Für einen ausgewogenen Orchesterklang und einen optimalen Sound empfehle ich die Bass-Flöten-Stimme großzügig zu besetzen. Ich wünsche allen Orchestern viel Freude mit „Snowflake Lullaby“!
PROGRAM NOTES:
The 5-minute work describes an lovely winter journey through an impressive and enchanting landscape at dusk. The marimba and glockenspiel are irreplaceable in this piece, written in 2017. Make sure, that the mallets of the Glockenspiel are not too hard. The Piccolo is to occupy as a soloist and takes on a leading role. For a good balanced orchestra and an optimal sound I recommend to fill the bass-flute-part generously. I wish all orchestras a lot of fun with "Snowflake Lullaby"!
